CT College Portfolio (Fidelity Blend)

The investment objective of the CT College Portfolio (Fidelity Blend) is income and capital preservation, appropriate for the time when a Beneficiary is withdrawing money to attend college.

The Portfolio invests in a combination of actively-managed and index Fidelity funds, and its assets are allocated among such funds according to an allocation strategy that does not change over time. The CT College Portfolio (Fidelity Blend) will allocate assets among underlying Fidelity Funds according to a stable "neutral" asset allocation strategy 15% in equity funds, 50% in bond mutual funds, and 35% in short-term and money market funds at all times.

Performance of CT College Portfolio (Fidelity Blend) depends on performance of the underlying actively-managed and index Fidelity funds in which it invests and asset allocation changes that may occur within the Portfolio over time. Performance of the underlying actively-managed Fidelity funds in turn depends on performance of stock, fixed-income, and money markets in the U.S. and abroad. Performance of the underlying Fidelity index funds in turn depends on the performance of the index in which the funds are tracking. Generally, index funds neither engage in active trading nor assume risk exposure greater than the index, which tends to result in lower expenses and volatility but possibly lower returns than an actively managed mutual fund that invests in the same universe of securities. The value of CT College Portfolio (Fidelity Blend) will vary from day to day, reflecting changes in these markets and in the values of the underlying Fidelity funds, and you may have a gain or loss when you redeem your units.
